AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 10, 1981 (P.L.214, No.67), entitled "An
2 act relating to the lawful conduct of bingo, prescribing
3 penalties and making a repeal," providing for special
4 occasion licenses.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The act of July 10, 1981 (P.L.214, No.67), known
8 as the "Bingo Law," is amended by adding a section to read:
9 Section 5.1. Special occasion license.
10 (a) Issuance.--Upon the application of an association and
11 the payment of a $10 license fee, the licensing authority shall
12 issue a special occasion license to conduct the game of bingo at
13 one location in the county for a period of not more than six
14 consecutive days. An association shall not be issued more than
15 one such license in a calendar year. An association already
16 licensed under this act may not obtain a special occasion
17 license.
1 (b) Limitations.--An association applying for a special
2 occasion license pursuant to this section shall be subject to
3 all the other provisions of this act except as to the period of
4 time during which the game of bingo may be conducted, the fee
5 charged for the license and the requirement in sections 5 and 6
6 that the association own the equipment used in playing bingo.
7 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
