                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting vivisection.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 5511 of Title 18, act of November 25,
     6  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     8  § 5511.  Cruelty to animals.
     9     * * *
    10     (m)  Vivisection.--No animal shall be used for the purposes
    11  of vivisection.
    12     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
