AN ACT 1 Amending the act of February 17, 1906 (P.L.45, No.11), entitled 2 "An act to regulate the deposits of State funds, to prescribe 3 the method of selecting State depositories, to limit the 4 amount of State deposits, to provide for the security of such 5 deposits, to fix the rate of interest thereon, to provide for 6 the publication of monthly statements of moneys in the 7 general and sinking funds, to declare it a misdemeanor to 8 give or take anything of value for obtaining the same, and 9 prescribing penalties for violations of this act," further 10 providing for the time of the quarterly reports. 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. Section 11 of the act of February 17, 1906 14 (P.L.45, No.11), entitled "An act to regulate the deposits of 15 State funds, to prescribe the method of selecting State 16 depositories, to limit the amount of State deposits, to provide 17 for the security of such deposits, to fix the rate of interest 18 thereon, to provide for the publication of monthly statements of 19 moneys in the general and sinking funds, to declare it to a 20 misdemeanor to give or take anything of value for obtaining the
1 same, and prescribing penalties for violations of this act," 2 amended June 28, 1951 (P.L.598, No.150), is amended to read: 3 Section 11. The State Treasurer, on the last business day of 4 [May, August, November and February] June, September, December 5 and March, shall render a statement of account to the Auditor 6 General, giving in detail the different sums which go to make up 7 the grand total of the amount on that day in the State Treasury, 8 including moneys appropriated to the sinking fund. Such 9 statement shall include the names of banks, banking institutions 10 or trust companies with whom the public funds are deposited, 11 with the various amounts of such deposits, and shall be verified 12 by oath or affirmation of the State Treasurer, and recorded in a 13 book kept for that purpose in the Auditor General's office; and 14 such record shall be open for the inspection of the Governor, 15 heads of departments, members of the Legislature, or any citizen 16 of the State desiring to inspect the same; and shall be 17 correctly published in not more than six newspapers one of which 18 shall be published at Harrisburg, to be selected by the Auditor 19 General, for general information; payment of publication to be 20 made from moneys in the State Treasury appropriated for this 21 purpose. 22 Section 2.
