AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 9, 1976 (P.L.919, No.170), entitled "An
2 act providing for the approval or disapproval of applications
3 for a permit relating to the construction or maintenance of
4 improvements to real estate," further providing for fees for
5 building permits.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 1 of the act of July 9, 1976 (P.L.919,
9 No.170), entitled "An act providing for the approval or
10 disapproval of applications for a permit relating to the
11 construction or maintenance of improvements to real estate," is
12 amended by adding a subsection to read:

14 (b.1) A fee shall not be assessed for a building permit if
15 the applicant is a volunteer ambulance service, volunteer fire
16 company or volunteer rescue service as defined in the act of
1 July 15, 1976 (P.L.1036, No.208), known as the "Volunteer Fire
2 Company, Ambulance Service and Rescue Squad Assistance Act."

4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
