AN ACT

Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, providing for increase in school entity payments.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 24 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

§ 8536.  Increase in school entity payments.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, any

increase in payments by the Commonwealth to school entities

above the contributions required under section 8535 (relating to

payments to school entities by Commonwealth) must be forwarded

directly to the Public School Employees' Retirement Fund within

five days. The Public School Employees' Retirement Board shall

accept the payments and apply them to offset the current

unfunded accrued liability of the Public School Employees'

Retirement Fund, if any, as directed by the Public School

Employees' Retirement Board's actuary.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
