AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, requiring all passenger cars to be equipped with a
3 rear window defogger or defroster.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
7 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
8 amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 4524.1. Rear window defogger or defroster.
10 No person shall drive any passenger car on any highway unless
11 such passenger car is equipped with a rear window defogger or
12 defroster.
13 Section 2. This act shall take effect September 1, 1980, and
14 apply to all passenger cars manufactured and sold after
15 September 1, 1980.
