A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of October 5 through 12, 2020, as
"Pediatric Nurses Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Home health agencies in Pennsylvania provide
pediatric shift nursing to help children with complex medical
needs live as independently as possible at home with their
families; and
WHEREAS, The key benefit of pediatric shift nursing care is
that children can receive care outside of a hospital or facility
and in their own homes with their families, regardless of the
medical equipment necessary for their care; and
WHEREAS, Pediatric shift nurses are registered nurses and
licensed practical nurses who are able to administer prescribed
medication and ensure that a child's condition remains stable;
and
WHEREAS, Pediatric shift nurses are a lifeline to families
