                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for purchase,
     3     consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt
     4     or brewed beverages and for inducement of minors to buy
     5     liquor or malt or brewed beverages.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Sections 6308 and 6310 of Title 18 of the
     9  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding
    10  subsections to read:
    11  § 6308.  Purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of
    12             liquor or malt or brewed beverages.

    14     (e)  Exception for compliance checks.--A Pennsylvania State
    15  Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement officer, employee


     1  or intern who is under 21 years of age but who is acting within
     2  the scope of that individual's official duties, or a local law
     3  enforcement officer who is a minor and has been certified by the
     4  Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement
     5  to conduct compliance checks pursuant to this section and is
     6  acting within the scope of that individual's official duties,
     7  may attempt to purchase, possess or transport any liquor or malt
     8  or brewed beverages. Under no circumstances may individuals
     9  under 21 years of age consume liquor or malt or brewed
    10  beverages.
    11  § 6310.  Inducement of minors to buy liquor or malt or brewed
    12             beverages.
