A RESOLUTION

Honoring Todd Peck for his success in the racing industry.

2

WHEREAS, For Todd Peck, racing is in his family blood; and

3

WHEREAS, His father, Dr. Michael Peck, is an experienced

4

professional and former owner in the National Association for

5

Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) Nationwide Series; and 

6

WHEREAS, His uncle, Tom Peck, was an accomplished racer for

7

the family team in the same series; and

8

WHEREAS, Today, Todd is in charge of the family racing

9

operation and plans on moving it straight up the ladder of

10

NASCAR; and

11

WHEREAS, Todd Peck first began racing at 14 years of age; and

12

WHEREAS, He raced karts and quickly found the passion that

13

the rest of his family already knew; and

14

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck then became very serious about racing and

15

moved into the Allison Legacy Series, a developmental series

16

that races throughout the east coast; and

17

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck found more success, and the decision was

made to progress to what was then known as the USA Racing Pro

2

Cup Series; and

3

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck was only 16 years of age at the time, and

4

became the youngest to start in the series; and

5

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck spent the next five years in the division

6

developing his craft, and he was successful collecting wins and

7

many top finishes; and

8

WHEREAS, He was considered a contender at each race, and the

9

Peck Motorsports brand was quickly making its way back to the

10

top of motorsports; and

11

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck's progress continued when he made his debut

12

in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at the Greenville Pickens

13

Speedway in 2007; and

14

WHEREAS, This series is known as the premier development

15

series in NASCAR before reaching the national touring series;

16

and

17

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck has raced in more than 15 races in the east

18

series, finishing nearly half of them in the top 25, and has

19

done so with limited resources; and

20

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck took another step forward in 2011 and

21

competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS); and

22

WHEREAS, It was Mr. Peck's first time competing in one of

23

NASCAR's top-three national touring series; and

24

WHEREAS, Peck Motorsports made three NCWTS starts and plans

25

to build on the team's prior success in 2012; and

26

WHEREAS, The team will run another limited NCWTS schedule as

27

they continue to work their way up the NASCAR ladder; and

28

WHEREAS, Mr. Peck's family heritage, experience and

29

determination will make him a contender for years to come;

therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor Todd Peck

for his success in the racing industry.
