A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing March 24, 2006, as "Make-A-Wish Day" in Centre
2 County.
3 WHEREAS, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania
4 is a nonprofit organization which grants wishes to children with
5 life-threatening medical conditions; and
6 WHEREAS, Its mission is to enrich the human experience with
7 hope, strength and joy; and
8 WHEREAS, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania,
9 founded in 1983, has fulfilled more than 7,000 wishes of
10 children across Western Pennsylvania and specifically 102 wishes
11 of children within Centre County; and
1 WHEREAS, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania
2 is having a fundraising gala on March 24, 2006, to further its
3 mission; therefore be it
4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize March
5 24, 2006, as "Make-A-Wish Day" in Centre County.
