A RESOLUTION
Recognizing Crime Alert Berks County as the number one crime
stopper program in Pennsylvania for the past 18 years.
WHEREAS, Crime Alert Berks County was founded in August 1998;
and
WHEREAS, Crime Alert Berks County is an all-volunteer, unpaid
board of directors and residents; and
WHEREAS, Crime Alert Berks County's mission is to encourage
residents of Berks County to provide tips to law enforcement
officials to help solve crimes and apprehend criminals; and
WHEREAS, As of May 2017, Crime Alert Berks County has
assisted in 648 arrests and paid out more than $455,000 in tip
money to callers since its inception; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize Crime
Alert Berks County as the number one crime stopper program in
Pennsylvania for the past 18 years; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives encourage the

residents of this Commonwealth to support groups such as Crime
Alert Berks County.
