AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, defining the offense of breach of
3 privacy through use of photographs; and providing penalties.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 7508. Breach of privacy through use of photograph.
9 A person commits a misdemeanor of the third degree if he
10 uses, for purposes other than that for which it was intended,
11 any photograph, or copy thereof, submitted to any agency of
12 State government or municipal government in connection with an
13 application for any license, permit or identification card
14 issued by the Commonwealth or a municipality or in connection
15 with any benefit program operated by the Commonwealth or a
16 municipality.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
