A RESOLUTION
Commending the Pennsylvania School Bus Association for its work
to provide services, education and guidance to its members to
help foster the highest degree of safety in the
transportation of our Commonwealth's future, our children.
WHEREAS, School bus transportation is eight times safer than
traveling in a passenger vehicle and is the safest form of
ground transportation available; and
WHEREAS, School buses meet higher construction, equipment and
inspection standards than any other vehicle; and
WHEREAS, School bus drivers meet higher qualification,
training and testing standards than any other drivers; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania School Bus Association (PSBA)
represents more than 300 school bus contractors in this
Commonwealth who are operating more than 10,000 school buses;
and
WHEREAS, The school bus industry represents more than 20,000
jobs in this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, PSBA works with many Pennsylvania organizations and
government agencies to advance its mission of ensuring the

children; and
WHEREAS, PSBA is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2015;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend the
Pennsylvania School Bus Association for its work to provide
services, education and guidance to its members to help foster
the highest degree of safety in the transportation of our
Commonwealth's future, our children.
