                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for a designated percentage of tobacco litigation
     2     master settlement agreement funds to be utilized for cancer
     3     research facilities.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6  Section 1.  Set aside for research facilities.
     7     (a)  General rule.--Annually, 25% of all moneys received by
     8  the Commonwealth under the tobacco litigation master settlement
     9  agreement shall be set aside for appropriation by the General
    10  Assembly to cancer research facilities located within this
    11  Commonwealth.
    12     (b)  Definition.--As used in this section, the term "tobacco
    13  litigation master settlement agreement" means the master
    14  settlement agreement relating to tobacco litigation entered into
    15  in 1998 by the Commonwealth and leading United States tobacco


     1  product manufacturers.
     2  Section 2.  Effective date.
     3     This act shall take effect immediately.
