        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           MAY 1, 2001

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Commending The Pennsylvania State University men's ice hockey
     2     team on winning the ACHA national championship.

     3     WHEREAS, The men's ice hockey team of The Pennsylvania State
     4  University recently won the ACHA national championship; and
     5     WHEREAS, This marks the second consecutive season and the
     6  third time in the last four seasons that the Icers have won the
     7  ACHA national championship; and
     8     WHEREAS, The Icers captured the championship by defeating
     9  their opponents by a collective score of 28-10; and
    10     WHEREAS, The Icers captured the championship under the
    11  capable tutelage of Head Coach Joe Battista and his coaching
    12  staff: David Bauer, assistant coach; and Ray Lombra, Darren
    13  Hersh, Jason Ice, Andrew Strasser and John Segursky, volunteer
    14  assistant coaches; and
    15     WHEREAS, Team members, Bobby Pate, Ryan Tocicki, Paul
    16  Crooker, Joe McArdle, Kyle Jordan, Sean Waters, Bill Downey,
    17  Alon Eizenman, Curtiss Patrick, Joe Sheridan, Dant Hirsch, Scott


     1  Fyffe, Scott Curry, Eric Harbaugh, Dustin Martin, Glenn Zuck,
     2  Brandon Cook, Paul Sealock, Josh Mandel, Jack Weber, Greg Held,
     3  Mike Blevins, Ryan Patrick, Greg Windsor, Justin DePretis, David
     4  Tunon, Scott Graham, Geoff Beauparlant, Yan Clermont, Neal Price
     5  and Jordan Synkowski, deserve credit for their efforts;
     6  therefore be it
     7     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend the
     8  members of The Pennsylvania State University men's ice hockey
     9  team, Head Coach Joe Battista and all the members of his
    10  coaching staff on winning the ACHA national championship.
