A RESOLUTION
Recognizing March 13, 2015, as "Digital Learning Day" in
Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, "Digital Learning Day" is a national observance
sponsored by the Alliance for Excellent Education through the
Center for Digital Learning and Policy; and
WHEREAS, "Digital Learning Day" has provided a powerful venue
for education leaders to highlight great teaching practice and
showcase innovative teachers, leaders and instructional
technology programs that are improving student outcomes; and
WHEREAS, "Digital Learning Day" encourages all
administrators, teachers, librarians, media specialists,
principals, parents and community members from public, private,
charter and home school settings to share what they learned; and
WHEREAS, Digital learning encompasses many different facets,
tools and applications to support and empower teachers and
students in the learning experience; and
WHEREAS, "Digital Learning Day" provides a venue for

education leaders to highlight teaching practices, instructional
technology programs, educational software and mobile apps that
improve student outcomes; and
WHEREAS, "Digital Learning Day" promotes the effective use of
modern-day tools afforded to every other industry to improve the
learning experience in K-12 public schools; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize March
13, 2015, as "Digital Learning Day" in Pennsylvania.
