Amend Bill, page 2, line 1, by striking out "a definition"
and inserting
definitions
Amend Bill, page 2, line 9, by inserting after "marijuana."
The term shall include an organization or facility
caregiver.
Amend Bill, page 2, by inserting between lines 15 and 16
"Natural person." An individual.
"Organization or facility caregiver." The term shall include
the following:
(1) An organization that provides hospice, palliative or
home health care services and:
(i) is licensed under the act of July 19, 1979
(P.L.130, No.48), known as the Health Care Facilities
Act;
(ii) has significant responsibility for managing the
health care and well-being of a patient; and
(iii) is designated by the patient as an additional
caregiver.
(2) A residential facility, including, but not limited
to, a long-term care nursing facility, a skilled nursing
facility, an assisted living facility, a personal care home,
an independent long-term care facility or an intermediate
care facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities
that:
(i) is licensed by the department or the Department
of Human Services;
(ii) has significant responsibility for managing the
health care and well-being of a patient; and
(iii) is designated by the patient as an additional
caregiver.
