AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 263

Amend Bill, page 1, lines 9 and 10, by striking out all of
said lines and inserting
Section 1. Section 2308(a)(2) and (5) of Title 34 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended and the section
is amended by adding a subsection to read:
Amend Bill, page 1, by inserting between lines 15 and 16

(2) A semiautomatic rifle or pistol, except as set forth
in subsection (b.1).
Amend Bill, page 2, by inserting between lines 2 and 3
(b.1) Additional exception.--A semiautomatic rifle may be
used to hunt game in accordance with regulations promulgated by
the commission.

Section 2. Section 2706.2(c)(6) of Title 34 is amended to
read:
Amend Bill, page 2, line 12, by striking out all of said line
and inserting
Section 3. This act shall take effect as follows:
(1) The amendment of 34 Pa.C.S. ยงยง 2308(a)(5) and
2706.2(c)(6) shall take effect in 60 days.
(2) The remainder of this act shall take effect
immediately.
