1Amend Bill, page 45, by inserting between lines 26 and 27

2"Medical cannabis study." The Commonwealth-sanctioned
3medical cannabis study involving children with epilepsy in each
4of the Commonwealth's designated health care facilities.

5Amend Bill, page 47, line 1, by striking out "Any of the 
6following," and inserting

7 Epilepsy and seizures,

8Amend Bill, page 47, line 2, by striking out the colon after 
9"treatment" and inserting a period

10Amend Bill, page 47, lines 3 through 14, by striking out all
11of said lines

12Amend Bill, page 47, by inserting between lines 17 and 18

13Section 103. Use permitted.

14Notwithstanding any other law, an individual with epilepsy
15may use a medical cannabis strain and shall not be subject to
16detrimental action, including arrest, prosecution, penalty,
17denial of a right or privilege, civil penalty or disciplinary
18action by a professional licensing board.

19Section 104. Secretary of Health.

20The Secretary of Health of the Commonwealth shall, upon
21conclusion of the medical cannabis study, transmit notice of
22that fact and whether or not the study demonstrates no medical
23benefit derives from the use of medical cannabis or the study is
24inconclusive to the Legislative Reference Bureau for publication
25as a notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. If the outcome of the
26medical cannabis study demonstrates no medical benefit or is
27inconclusive, then qualified medical conditions shall not
28include epilepsy and seizures.
