AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 432

1Amend Bill, page 3, by inserting between lines 13 and 14

2(4) A person may be exempted from the requirements of this
3section if all of the following apply:

4(i) The person provides documentation that the person has
5already completed child abuse recognition and reporting
6training.

7(ii) The training was:

8(A) required by section 1205.6 of the act of March 10, 1949
9(P.L.30, No.14), known as the "Public School Code of 1949," and
10the training program was approved by the Department of Education
11in consultation with the Department of Public Welfare; or

12(B) required by 23 Pa.C.S. Ch. 63 (relating to child
13protective services) and the training program was approved by
14the Department of Public Welfare.

15(iii) The amount of training received equals or exceeds the
16amount of training required by this section.

18(4) A person may be exempted from the requirements of this
