1 | Amend Bill, page 3, by inserting between lines 15 and 16 |
2 | (d) (1) Notwithstanding subsections (b) and (c)(3) or any |
3 | other provision of law, the mayor of a city of the first |
4 | class shall have no authority to make an appointment to or |
5 | fill a vacancy on the Authority during a recess of council, |
6 | if such appointment or vacancy was required to be made or |
7 | filled, as the case may be, with the approval of council in |
8 | accordance with subsection (b). |
9 | (2) A nomination to appoint a member to the Authority or |
10 | fill a vacancy on the Authority shall be submitted to council |
11 | not later than thirty (30) days after the beginning of the |
12 | next session of the council. |
13 | (3) If a nomination to appoint a member to the Authority |
14 | or to fill a vacancy on the Authority was made and submitted |
15 | to council while council was in session, the sixty (60) day |
16 | period under subsection (c)(3) or any days remaining in such |
17 | sixty (60) day period shall begin or resume on the first day |
18 | council returns to session. |
