Amend Resolution, page 3, lines 20 through 23, by striking

out "and urge members of" in line 20, all of lines 21 and 22 and

"beginning in Fall 2009" in line 23

Amend Resolution, page 3, lines 24 through 27, by striking

out all of said lines and inserting

RESOLVED, That the Committee on Ethics and Official Conduct

13

of the Senate and the Committee on Ethics of the House of

14

Representatives develop guidelines to govern local selection

15

committees to help ensure that the selection committees and

16

legislative appointments do not create any conflicts of interest

17

or otherwise violate 65 Pa.C.S. Ch. 11 (relating to ethics

18

standards and financial disclosure) or the act of July 10, 1968

19

(P.L.316, No.154), known as the Legislative Code of Ethics; and

20

be it further

Amend Resolution, page 3, line 29, by striking out "appoint"

and inserting

Amend Resolution, page 3, lines 29 and 30, by striking out

"assist them in identifying and selecting" and inserting

Amend Resolution, page 3, line 30; page 4, lines 1 through 3,

by striking out "and to help", in line 30, page 3 and all of

lines 1 through 3, page 4 and inserting

in accordance with the guidelines developed pursuant to this

4

resolution; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the designation of Valley Forge Military

6

College, located in Wayne, Pennsylvania be ratified and that the

7

college be again designated as the "Official Military College of

8

Pennsylvania."
