AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 993

Amend Bill, page 2, lines 4 through 7, by striking out all of
said lines and inserting
(1) The department shall waive the fees listed in this
section for an applicant that is a school entity. The
department, upon approval by the Governor, shall issue a
refund to an applicant that paid a fee subject to this
subsection after June 30, 2020, and requests a refund. A
refund required under this subsection shall not be paid from
the appropriations to the department for general government
operations or for occupational and industrial safety but
shall be deemed a refund of a charge collected, but not
legally due, and shall be paid otherwise from the General
Fund.
Amend Bill, page 2, by inserting between lines 22 and 23
(3) As used in this subsection, the term "school entity"
shall have the same meaning as provided in section 1101-A of
the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the
"Public School Code of 1949."
