AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 2098

Amend Bill, page 3, lines 21 through 30; page 4, lines 1 and
2; by striking out all of said lines on said pages and inserting
(1) From the effective date of this section until
December 31, 2022:
(i) Sixty percent of the revenue shall be used by
the official tourism promotion and marketing agency of
the Commonwealth for tourism marketing, promotion and
development of activities to attract leisure and business
travelers to this Commonwealth and for matching grants to
destination marketing organizations and tourism promotion
agencies.
(ii) Fifteen percent of the revenue shall be used by
the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for
museum assistance grants.
(iii) Fifteen percent of the revenue shall be used
by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for grants to the
arts.
(iv) Ten percent of the revenue shall be used by the
Department of Community and Economic Development for
accredited zoos. For the purpose of this subparagraph,
the term "accredited zoo" shall mean a Pennsylvania
accredited zoo designated by the Association of Zoos and
Aquariums or the Zoological Association of America or a
member of the Pennsylvania Zoological Council.
(2) From January 1, 2023, and every year thereafter:
(i) Sixty percent of the revenue shall be used by
the official tourism promotion and marketing agency of
the Commonwealth for tourism marketing, promotion and
development of activities to attract leisure and business
travelers to this Commonwealth and for matching grants to
destination marketing organizations and tourism promotion
agencies.
(ii) Twenty percent of the revenue shall be used by
the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for
museum assistance grants.
(iii) Twenty percent of the revenue shall be used by
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for
grants to the arts.
