AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 190

Amend Bill, page 1, line 2, by inserting after "Statutes,"
in lighting equipment, further providing for general lighting
requirements; and,
Amend Bill, page 1, lines 6 and 7, by striking out all of
said lines and inserting
Section 1. Sections 4303 and 4702 of Title 75 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding
subsections to read:
ยง 4303. General lighting requirements.

(h) Light-emitting diodes.--At least 50% of the light-
emitting diodes in a lamp or light referenced under this
section, except off-road lighting, shall light properly.
Amend Bill, page 1, lines 10 through 13, by striking out all
of said lines and inserting
(a.1) Light-emitting diodes.--A vehicle shall not pass a
safety inspection if more than 50% of the light-emitting diodes
of a lamp or light required under section 4303 (relating to
general lighting requirements) fail to light properly.
