Section 512. Preemption.
The following apply:
(1) This act shall preempt and supersede any local
ordinance or rule concerning the subject matter of this act,
including any local ordinance or rule that requires an
employer to pay an employee for time that the employee did
not work.
(2) This section shall not be construed to preempt:
(i) a mandate enacted by a political subdivision
affecting an employee or class of employees of the
political subdivision; or
(ii) the terms and conditions of a collective
bargaining agreement.
