MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 4, 2019 12:01 PM
From: Representative Perry S. Warren
To: All House members
Subject: No-Fly List Gun Sale Prohibition

On December 2, 2015, in San Bernardino, California, a terrorist attack left 14 innocent people dead and 21 injured. Despite prohibiting felons and domestic abusers from purchasing a firearm, federal law permits individuals on the terrorist watch list, which includes the no-fly list, to purchase a firearm.

We cannot sit idly by as residents of the Commonwealth are in danger of firearm violence perpetrated by terrorists. For this reason, my legislation will prohibit individuals on the federal terrorist watch list from purchasing or possessing a firearm in Pennsylvania. Individuals who believe that they were wrongfully denied a firearm may appeal the denial.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this important legislation to protect residents of the Commonwealth from terrorist violence.
