BOSSERT, W. Max, a Representative from Centre and Clinton Counties; born in Mill Hall, Clinton County, Pa., July 9, 1908; B.S., State Teachers College in Lock Haven (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); M.A., Columbia University; farmer; retail hardware; high school teacher (1932-1935); faculty member and football coach, Lock Haven State College (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania) (1935-1946); elected, burgess, Mill Hall; elected, commissioner, Clinton County (1947-1960); member, Clinton County Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1961 term and served 4 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1970); died, May 15, 1990 in Beech Creek Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bossert Family Cemetery, Beech Creek, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
