Beaver, Pennsylvania National Guard; proprietor, photography business (1866-1892); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1880 and 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); journal clerk, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1885-1888); elected, Chief Clerk, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (January 1, 1889-May 28, 1891, resigned); elected, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1892-1894); elected, Deputy Commissioner of Banking (1895-1924); died, August 12, 1934 in Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
