DUNNING, Abram Beemer, Sr., a Representative from Luzerne County; born, March 21, 1821 in Sussex County, NJ; attended, Wyoming Seminary; merchant; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1853 and 1854 terms; reelected to the House as a Democrat American for the 1855 term; member, Luzerne County Democratic Convention (1858); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1864); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1872-1873); prison commissioner, Lackawanna County (1878-1879); supervisor, 5th Pennsylvania District, United States Census (1880); died, December 30, 1897 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
