WORLEY, Francis, a Representative from Adams County; born in Latimore Township, Adams County, Pa., December 23, 1913; graduated, York Springs High School; graduated, George School; A.B., government, The Pennsylvania State (University) College; M.A., international affairs, University of Pennsylvania; LL.B., Dickinson School of Law; LL.M., George Washington University Law School; farmer; attorney; unsuccessful campaign for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1938); elected, justice of the peace, Latimore Township (1939-1942); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1942 and served 12 nonconsecutive terms (1943-1950, 1953-1962, 1965-1970); appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Revision of Penal Code (1945-1946); appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Penal Laws (1947-1948); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1950); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1962, 1970); died, May 8, 2003 in York Springs, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Huntington Quaker Meeting House Cemetery, York Cemetery, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
