RUSH, Francis James, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, May 25, 1921 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, LaSalle College High School; attended, LaSalle College; attended, St. Joseph’s College; served, United States Navy (1942-1946, World War II); chief real estate appraiser, Inheritance Tax Division, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue; member, Democratic Committee; leader, 12th Ward Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1967 term and served 2 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1973 term; manager, real estate operations, Department of Public Property, Philadelphia (1973-1983); right-of-way agent, Port Orange, Fl.; died, June 15, 1985 in Ponce Inlet, Volusia County, Florida; interred, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
