JACOBY, John, a Representative from Monroe and Northampton Counties; born, April 23, 1815 in Pennsylvania; stone mason; unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Monroe County (1832); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1845 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1846 term; reelected to the House for the 1847 term; died, March 30, 1886 in Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Williams Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
