HORN, John J., Jr., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, March 11, 1819 in Mahoning Township, Carbon County, Pa.; shoemaker; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1853 and 1854 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1855 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1858); elected, justice of the peace, Port Clinton (2 years); rail road contractor; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Senate (1870); coal inspector; died, December 12, 1909 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, South Easton Cemetery, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
