LOWE, James, a Representative from Franklin County; born, 1798 in Maryland; farmer; road superintendent, Franklin County (1842); elected, justice of the peace, Peters Township (1845); president, Whig County Convention (1851); elected, commissioner, Franklin County (1851-1854); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1854; died, February 24, 1859 in Mercersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Spring Grove Cemetery, Peters Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
