MACLAY, David, a Representative from Franklin County; born, November 27, 1808 at Maclay’s Mill, Franklin County, Pa.; mill operator; engaged, mercantile business; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1850 and 1851; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1852); farmer; died, August 1, 1901 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lower Middle Spring Church Cemetery, Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
