COLVIN, William, a Representative from Fayette County; born, June 29, 1797 in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pa.; farmer; surveyor; elected, delegate, State Democratic Anti-Masonic Convention (1832); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1847 term; died, January 30, 1871 in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Grindstone First Christian Church Cemetery, Grindstone, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
