LEFEVER, Jacob, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, May 31, 1795 in Pennsylvania; editor and owner, Gettysburg Compiler (1818-1839); appointed, recorder, Adams County (1839); appointed, clerk of the Orphans Court, Adams County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1847; died, April 26, 1875 in North Middleton Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Rock Methodist Churchyard, Mount Rock, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
