ZIMMERMAN, John, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, July 5, 1785 in Pennsylvania; saddler; elected, auditor, Cumberland County (1836); secretary, school board, Churchtown (1837); elected, coroner, Cumberland County (1838-1840); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1839 and 1840; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1841); died, June 20, 1858 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Trindle Springs Lutheran Cemetery, Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
