WAKLEE (WAKELY), John B., II, a Representative from Potter and Tioga Counties; born, August 12, 1796 in Otsego County, NY; farmer; constable, Deerfield Township; justice of the peace, Brookfield Township (12 years); elected, sheriff, Tioga County (1837-1840); elected as an Independent Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1841 term, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1842 term; died, March 28, 1864 in Troupsburg, Steuben County, New York; interred, Free Church Cemetery, Knoxville, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
