PATTON, Joseph, a Representative from Crawford County; born, September 29, 1805 in Fayette County, Pa.; engaged, carpenter and cabinet making; undertaker; farmer; elected, commissioner, Crawford County (1845-1848, 1876-1878); proprietor, steam sawmill (1845-1873); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1851 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1852 term; justice of the peace, Hartstown (15 years); elected, school director, Hartstown; elected, burgess, Hartstown (1862, 1864); lumber dealer; died, February 22, 1890 in Hartstown, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hartstown Cemetery, Hartstown, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
