LOY, Martin, Jr., a Representative from Bedford County; born, April of 1784; captain, 6th Rifle Company, 2nd Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia; owner, general store and gristmill; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Loysburg, Pa. (1835-1838); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1838-1839 and 1840 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1841 term; died, January 1, 1847; interred, Old Presbyterian Graveyard, Bedford, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
