FRY, Jacob, Jr., a Representative of Montgomery County; born, June 10, 1802 in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pa.; school teacher; merchant; elected, prothonotary, clerk of quarter sessions and orphans’ courts, and oyer and terminer, Montgomery County (1830-1833); elected, United States Congress (1835- 1839); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Governor (1850); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1854 and 1855 terms; elected, Pennsylvania Auditor General (1857-1860); died, November 28, 1866 in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Augustus Lutheran Church Cemetery, Trappe, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
