SWARTZWELDER, Marshall, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, March 18, 1819 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Md.; graduated, Dickinson College; lawyer (1840-1884); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1848 and 1849 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1850 term; died, September 30, 1884 in Sewickley, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
