Biography


STURGEON, William, a Representative from Allegheny County; member, Allegheny County Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1836-1837 term; reelected to the House for the 1844 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1837-1838, 1840 and 1845 terms; engaged, Pittsburgh and Steubenville Rail Road (1849).
