McCOMB, Robert B., a Representative from Beaver, Butler and Lawrence Counties; born, August 15, 1820 in Indian Run, Mercer County, Pa.; colonel, 14th Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1862, Civil War); colonel, 55th Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1863, Civil War); cabinet maker (1837-1850); lawyer (1853-1906); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1854 and 1855 terms; reelected to the House as a Republican for the 1856 term; member, Commission to Revise and Codify the State Revenue Laws (1862); died, September 22, 1906 in Sandy Lake, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Graceland Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
