YOUNG, William, a Representative from Lycoming, Snyder and Union Counties; born, September 16, 1816 in Kelly Township, Union County, Pa.; store clerk (1832-1837); proprietor, mercantile business (1837-1875); organized and president, First National Bank of Mifflinburg (1863); organized and president, Commercial National Bank of Reading; partner, Weed, Young, and Co. Banking Firm; engaged, lumber operations; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1871 term, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1872 term; died, September 17, 1904 in Mifflinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mifflinburg Cemetery, Mifflinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.
