PALM, Dr. Phillip R., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, March 10, 1825 in Bern Township, Berks County, Pa.; attended, Myerstown Academy; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1846; first assistant surgeon, 110th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862, Civil War); surgeon, 137th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); physician; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1860 term; elected, health officer, Allentown, Pa. (1881-1882); elected, school board, Allentown; member, pension examining board, Lehigh County; died, March 6, 1896 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Linden Street Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
