FOX, Donald William, a Representative from Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born in North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pa., May 28, 1922; graduated, Mt. Jackson Township High School; A.B., Westminster College, 1944; lieutenant, "U.S.S. Dauphin" (1944-1946), United States Navy (1943-1946, World War II); dairy business, processor and distributor of milk and milk products; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1956; reelected to serve 8 more consecutive terms; elected, Republican Caucus Secretary (1971-1974); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1971-1974); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1974 General election; instructor, Westminster College; member, State Board of Education (1976-1987).
