COMER, Harry Robert Joseph, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in the city of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., January 20, 1912; corporal, United States Army (1942-1945, World War II); journeyman electrician; insurance broker and real estate agent; chair, 33rd Ward Democratic Executive Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1953 term and served 10 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1963-1966); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1969-1974); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1975 term; legislative liaison, Pennsylvania National Guard (1974-1978); died, March 15, 1990 in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
